A recent Poll by PC Advisor has shown that 60 percent of Uk households use their printers for leisure as regard to work.
This appears to somewhat buck the trend in respect to growth of the SOHO (small office home office) market, this is believed to have come about by the need to print out boarding passes , contracts , and the ever growing need to print photographs from digital sources.
The study also shows that inkjet printers are becoming less expensive to run, due to the price of inkjet cartridges falling, this coupled with remote printing options like Google Cloud Print and Kodak’s Email Print service mean that printing photographs is dominating the home printer market.
This slow growth of the SOHO is also emerging because of the multitude of facilities that are now available such as automatic Duplexing, Networking, and Fax ability, these were once the preserve of office laser machines.
